Snowfall blanketed the Las Vegas Valley 4

I woke up about 7am on the next morning and saw the gorgeous morning light. I had to grab my camera and drive around our community to take some snow pictures.

That is me in front of the snowcovered mountains close to our community..

Later, catching the evening sunlight we went out to take the snow-covered Henderson Mountains memorable. Here a couple of more Las Vegas Valley snow pictures:

Winter Snowfall 3.-Las Vegas Sign

Winter snowfall in the Las Vegas Valley 2.

My fabulous trip to New Jersey, or Snowstorm in the Las Vegas Valley

I was so excited to visit my friend in New Jersey, experience the snow and the Christmas with her in the East Coast what I miss here in Las Vegas so much.
I made arrangements to fly out on Wednesday, 17th of December. The weather was so clear in the morning; the snow covered mountains were gorgeous behind the Strip from the Monday snowfall. My plain was scheduled 12:15pm. It started to snow by than very slowly. We started out an hour late because the plain we supposed to get on arrived late.
But around 1:30pm we were in the plane ready to take off. It took as a while to get in line because of the hour delay. Meantime it started to snow heavily. About 2:30 pm according to our pilot we were the first plain to take off and be in air in about 10 minutes. In a couple of minutes he announced that we have to go back and deice the pilots’ window, just to be on the safe side.
Meantime, on the way back we found out that the airport doesn’t have any deicer. We had to get off the plain and didn’t know what is going on.
It wasn’t until 4:30pm when they officially announced that our and 2 other plain get cancelled and a little bit later they cancelled all the outgoing flights.
Probably our plain was the first one which stocked in Las Vegas because of the snowstorm, poor visibility and the lack of the deicer.
Have could I be so fortunate to pick the only day in 30 years for my trip to the east Coast when they cancel all the outgoing flights from Las Vegas because of a snowstorm?
But I stayed in and took some beautiful snow pictures in Las Vegas.
I wanted to see the snow and nature brought it to me all the way to Las Vegas!

Happy Birthday Patricia!

We went out to spend a wonderful, but cold and windy afternoon at Valley of Fire.
Despite of the cold weather we had a great time photographing Patricia.
Here are the highlights of the day:
