Top 10 Wedding Trends for 2011 #2

2. Outdoor Venues- Where It’s At

Couples tying the knot in 2011 will gravitate toward outdoor ceremony and reception venues. The raw, minimal backdrop of an outdoor setting leaves room for personalization and customization, a major perk for creative, hands-on nearlyweds. Lakeside venues, vineyard locations and spaces situated alongside sprawling mountains will dominate, and they’ll be spruced up with personalized touches that represent the bride and groom.

Jodi & Graham_Las Vegas Wedding Photographer

Its always nice to photograph couples referred by our former clients or fellow wedding vendors, what was the case with Jodi and Graham’s wedding. Jodi’s father is a great photographer on the east cost doing fine art photography. He trusted us to photograph his daughter’s wedding!
Adrienne and Fernando, our two great photographers were following the couple around and make their party memorable! Congratulations guys!

But I have to pick up those petals from under their feet...

Fun, fun, a lot of fun on the party...

Top 10 Wedding Trends for 2011 #1

1. Sophisticated Elegance Returns
It's back to basics with elegant, sophisticated style in 2011. Wedding decor will be simple and understated, with modern design elements trumping DIY touches. Scripted calligraphy, custom monograms, and classic wedding cakes embody this trend. Brides will wear pearls, and grooms will ditch the Converse in favor of more tasteful wedding day kicks.

Shaolaine & Joshua_ Las Vegas Wedding Photographer

A lot of posts are coming up on the Blog in the next couple of weeks. After the busy season and traveling, finally I can catch up with the posts on the Blog.

Shaolaine & Joshua got married at Mt Charleston. We met at the fist time when we photographed their engagement session at the District. We had a lot of fun both times! Such a great couple! I really like when you can feel the love towards each other in the couple's eye, like in Shaolaine & Joshua's eyes when they looked at each other. Congratulations guys!

Shaolaine's hair and make up was done by Amelia C. Here is her Blog with a lot of useful information about hair and make up for future brides:
